WANBY Waterproof Rain Sleeve for DSLR/SLR Cameras — Protective Cover
Product description
What’s included: one WANBY rain cover (soft black).
Materials and build: constructed from high-quality waterproof nylon with taped seams and an ultra-clear PVC viewing window that keeps the rear LCD and controls visible. The fabric sheds water and resists salt spray and snow.
Fit and sizing: designed to accommodate most small to mid-size DSLR and SLR camera bodies with typical lens combinations. It slips over camera bodies and standard zoom lenses; it may be tight or unsuitable for cameras fitted with extended battery grips or very long pro telephoto lenses.
Features and use: two adjustable sleeve openings allow hand access to controls while a full-length double zipper runs along the body so you can operate the camera or attach it to a tripod without fully removing the cover. Use it by sliding the cover over the camera, position your hands through the sleeves to handle controls, and zip as needed to secure.
Compatibility: works with a variety of cameras and can also shelter binoculars, monoculars, rangefinders, and some hand tools. Note: this listing includes the rain cover only.
Pros
- Waterproof nylon construction with clear window
- Dual adjustable sleeves and full-length double zipper
- Compatible with many DSLR/SLR setups
Cons
- Can feel bulky during use
- May not fit cameras with battery grips
- Not ideal for very long telephoto lenses
VerdictAn effective, simple solution for protecting small to mid-size DSLR and SLR cameras from wet conditions. Durable waterproof fabric and a transparent window keep gear usable in bad weather. It can feel bulky with larger setups or battery grips, but overall it’s easy to slip on, offers good access to controls, and is worth carrying for outdoor shoots.

Protective but bulky
Covers the whole camera and keeps it dry, though it feels a bit bulky and can be awkward to operate.

A bit small for some setups
Okay build quality, but won’t fit a camera with a battery grip; fine for smaller bodies.

Solid buy with one caveat
I buy these as gifts and they’re great quality. Important tip: set your camera to use the rear LCD only — the cover’s plastic can trigger the eye sensor and switch to the viewfinder, which you can’t use while the cover is on. Still highly recommended.
