Cobra 3 Strike A150S Aluminum Camera Monopod — Travel Monopod with Feet
Product description
Instant one-handed height adjustment: a patented one-press lift mechanism slides the pole smoothly from 33" collapsed to 59.2" fully extended, so you can raise or lower the camera with a single hand while the other stays on your gear.
Foot-operated lock/unlock: the base features a pedal that locks the tilt/swivel position or releases it hands-free. Step on the pedal to fix the base or lift it to rotate and reposition without touching knobs.
Quick-release top plate: the collar-style quick-release ejects accessories when pressed and auto-locks when you insert them. It accepts standard 1/4" and 3/8" fittings so you can hot-swap cameras, gimbals, lights, or microphones in seconds.
3-in-1 adaptability: the removable base turns the monopod into a low-profile spreader or tabletop tripod. Remove the base and use the pole as a stabilizer extension or a trekking pole for hikes. The pole is aluminum and rated to support up to an 11 lb payload.
Construction and support: the shaft is made from military-grade brushed aluminum for rigidity and durability while remaining portable. The package includes the monopod shaft with quick-release top plate and the detachable pedal base/spreader. The system is backed by a 12-month warranty and ongoing customer support.
Pros
- Fast one-handed deployment
- Foot pedal for hands-free locking
- Versatile quick-release top plate
Cons
- May sag with heavier setups
- Quick-release can be stiff for some users
- Travel bag may fit monopod only
VerdictA pro-grade travel monopod that prioritizes speed and versatility. The one-press lift and foot pedal let you deploy and lock the support without taking hands off your camera. The quick-release top accepts 1/4" and 3/8" plates for fast swaps. Sturdy aluminum construction and a detachable base add flexibility for wildlife, sports, and travel, though very heavy setups may reveal limits near the state

Rapid deployment but watch load limits
Great for fast wildlife shots with a compact fluid head. Claims 11 lb but I noticed slow collapse around 7–8 lb after upgrading lenses. Still worth it for the speed, but heavy kits may sag.

Relief for shoulder strain
Mounting my long lens on this monopod with a gimbal reduced shoulder pain. Fast, light, and steadier shots—very pleased.

Fast, sturdy, and thoughtful design
Operates incredibly quickly and the base is very stable. I love the dual screw head detail in the base. Only wish it folded down a bit shorter, otherwise fantastic.

Quick releases problematic
Both top and bottom quick-release units were hard to open and it didn’t extend high enough for me. I returned it.

More convenient than a tripod
I use this for HDR real estate shoots. With the feet out it’s solid and far more convenient to carry and set up than a full tripod.

Top pick for wildlife work
Lightweight yet rigid, this monopod holds steady at any set height. The one-press lift is intuitive and the base folds both ways. Quick-disconnect makes head swaps simple—pro-level build.

Immediate upgrade satisfaction
Why I waited so long to upgrade is a mystery. Feels excellent, looks great, and performs far better than my old model—night and day improvement.

Compact and easy to operate
Found it online and it’s very compact to carry. Opens and closes smoothly; works well with a KS5 head and quick-release plates. Note the bag fits only the pole and it can pinch fingers during collapse. Add a leveler for video.

Failed after two days — risky with expensive gear
Unit broke on day two and nearly dropped a 6k DSLR. Very worrying for costly equipment. Waiting to see how support handles it.

Highly versatile and well made
Extremely versatile, sturdy, and easy to use. One-hand extension, removable pole for a short tripod, and foot release for swivel—highly recommend.

Very adaptable for photo and video
Handles anything from basic cameras to heavier rigs. One-hand operation with a grip lock is simple and secure. Great build quality and a smooth ball-joint on the tripod base.

Perfect for tired arms
I used to hand-hold long glass, but one-hand vertical lift is a game changer. The swivel base and quick release let me switch between handheld and monopod fast when my arm needs a break.
