Beekeeping
Ventilated Goatskin Beekeeping Gloves with Long Canvas Sleeve (Medium)
Product description
Each purchase includes one pair of beekeeper gloves in the selected size (XS, S, M, L, XL or 2XL).
Material construction: the palm and fingers are made from goatskin leather to give a soft, protective surface. Between the leather handpiece and the forearm cover there is a ventilated mesh panel to improve airflow and reduce heat buildup. The sleeve is crafted from durable cotton canvas, reaches to around the elbow, and finishes with an elastic cuff to hold the sleeve in place.
Designed use: these gloves are intended for hive inspections and general apiary tasks, providing a combination of sting protection and enough tactile feel to handle frames, feeders, and tools. The long canvas sleeve helps shield forearms while the elastic cuff aims to limit gaps where insects or debris could enter.
Pros
- Soft, protective goatskin on hand and fingers
- Breathable mesh between hand and sleeve
- Elbow-length canvas sleeve for added arm coverage
Cons
- Cuff elastic may feel overly tight for some users
- Leather can be a bit thicker and less flexible initially
- Sizing may run slightly different from other brands
VerdictThese gloves blend supple goatskin for hand protection with a ventilated mesh panel and long cotton canvas sleeves to keep arms covered during hive checks. They offer good dexterity for detailed tasks while the elastic cuffs secure the sleeve. Fit can vary, and some wearers note tighter cuff elastics or firmer leather, but overall they’re a solid choice for routine apiary duties.

Cuff elastic too tight
Hands fit fine in the XL, and quality seems good, but the elastic at the cuff is so tight it felt like it might cut circulation.

Lighter than heavy-duty alternatives
Lightweight yet protective. Easier to move in than the bulky styles.

No more stings
Replaced an old pair that developed a big hole. These feel a bit roomier and the leather is stiffer, but that likely means longer life. Very functional and well suited for an aggressive colony when paired with a good suit.

Bought two pairs — very pleased
I own an XL and also gave a large to my kids. XL fits me well; the large was a touch small for me. The elastic grips clothing firmly and they feel comfortable.

Fits true and easy to put on
Good build quality and simple to slip on. The small size fit my narrow hands perfectly—I’ve had trouble with other brands being too long in the fingers or too tight, but these are just right. No issues with bees so far.

Solid build and longer protection
Better workmanship than my older pair. Slightly thicker but still soft and flexible, and the longer sleeve offers extra arm protection.

Outstanding comfort and control
Very soft goatskin that still feels protective. The gloves let me handle frames and tools with good precision while keeping stings at bay. The wrist design seals well and they’re comfortable enough for long inspections. Highly recommended.

Elastic snapped after a week
Wrist mesh breathes well, but the elastic in the cuff broke after about a week of use.
