60-Pack Beeswax Sheets (16-1/3 in x 7-2/3 in) — Beehive Foundation & Candle Wax
Product description
What you get: a pack of 60 beeswax foundation sheets, each measuring 16-1/3 inches by 7-2/3 inches. They are sold as flat foundation sheets intended for insertion into hive frames or for use in candle making and other wax crafts.
Material and build: made from natural beeswax, these sheets feature a regular, factory-pressed cell pattern produced by large-scale equipment. The wax is processed to yield consistent cell size and an even surface across every sheet.
Performance in the hive: the foundations add rigidity to frames and guide straight comb construction, helping bees draw out cells faster. High bee acceptance and quick comb-building improve honey production and make harvests easier for beekeepers.
Candlemaking and crafts: the sheets are soft enough to roll, shape and mold, yet firm enough to resist becoming brittle in cold weather. They work well for rolled candles, wax seals, modeling, bowstring waxing, jar sealing and decorative projects.
Handling and temperature: beeswax has a relatively high melting point and retains shape at elevated temperatures. The sheets can be warmed gently for pouring, melting or forming; at lower pour temperatures they may feel tacky but are otherwise stable and reliable.
Pros
- Encourages fast comb building and high bee acceptance
- Uniform cell texture produced by large-scale pressing
- Flexible enough for rolling, sealing, and crafting
Cons
- Requires practice to roll candles neatly
- May not fit deep hive frames without modification
- Can be sticky at lower melting or pouring temps
VerdictThese sheets deliver sturdy foundation support for hives and enough pliability for rolled candles and craft projects. Bees accept them readily and the uniform cell texture makes comb-building efficient. Expect a short learning curve for rolling candles and watch frame fit if you use deep frames.

Works well for melting
They melt down easily for candle projects. At lower pour temperatures the wax can be a bit tacky, which is typical of beeswax.

Too short for deep frames
These foundations are smaller than deep-frame height and won't sit flush. You can tack them in with wire and bees will bridge the gap, but they aren't the right size for deep frames without modification.

Perfect for favor candles
I used these to make handheld candles for our engagement favors and they looked lovely. We ordered two packs for a big guest list. Each sheet yielded four candles when cut into quarters. Rolling takes patience but the finished candles burn well and do have some drip.

Nice, learn to roll slowly
Good material to work with. I learned to roll very slowly so the candle stays balanced. No noticeable smell from the wax.

Not ideal for candles
I found these poor for candle rolling—don’t buy if candles are your main goal. They might serve as foundation sheets, but there’s no embossed honeybee design on the wax.

Great for making beeswax candles
Ideal for candle crafting—break into pieces, melt in a melter, and pour. Produces lovely beeswax candles that beat paraffin in scent and burn quality. Highly recommend.

Pleasant honey aroma
Has a mild honeylike scent that confirms it’s real beeswax. The quality makes candle making simpler and gives a nice result.
