BeeQuestify 3-Pack 10-Frame Plastic Queen Excluders for Beekeeping
Product description
Materials and pack contents:
These queen excluders arrive as a pack of three injection-molded plastic panels finished in yellow. Each piece is lightweight and flexible, intended to resist cracking while remaining manageable when inserting or removing from a super.
Design and dimensions:
The excluders feature elongated oval gaps and smoothed edges so that workers can move freely while reducing the risk of wing or leg abrasion. Each sheet measures approximately 51 × 42 cm (20.08 × 16.54 inches), sized for 10-frame bee boxes and simple to trim to match altered configurations.
Function and use:
Installed between the brood nest and honey supers, these panels keep the queen confined to the lower chambers so bees store honey above. Only workers can squeeze through the slots, helping maintain separate brood and honey zones for more orderly hive management and easier harvests.
Durability notes:
The soft plastic construction makes the panels pliable and less likely to shatter than rigid metal, but plastic excluders can develop minor surface imperfections from molding and may bend or warp after extended exposure to heat or heavy use.
Product specifics:
Color: Yellow. Material: Plastic. Package: 3 pieces. Individual panel size: about 20.08 × 16.54 in (51 × 42 cm). Product name: Plastic Queen Excluder. Please allow slight variances from manual measurement and small color shifts between displays.
Pros
- Lightweight, flexible plastic construction
- Oval openings protect wings and legs
- Sized for 10-frame hives and easily trimmed
Cons
- May warp over long-term exposure
- Minor molding imperfections on some panels
- Less rigid than metal excluders
VerdictA practical, budget-friendly plastic option for beekeepers who want to restrict the queen from honey supers. The flexible, soft plastic and rounded oval slots let worker bees pass without apparent wing damage while stopping the queen. Fits standard 10-frame boxes and is easy to trim. Expect minor molding imperfections and possible long-term warping typical of plastic excluders.

Good enough
Simple, functional, and a reasonable choice if you want basic plastic excluders.

They work and feel smooth
There’s a lot of talk about plastic vs metal excluders and rough molded edges. These panels don’t feel sharp around the openings and the workers pass through while the queen stays below, so they perform as intended.

Fits well but not perfect
Yellow molded plastic with rectangular ribbing rather than rounded bars. Openings measure about 20mm x 4.15mm, which keeps queens out. Some ribs are a bit sharp and there are small imperfections, but they lay flat on 10-frame supers and feel stiffer than other plastics; expect possible warping over time.
