Ultra-Thin Magnetic Cabinet Catch — 4-Pack Magnetic Door Latches
Product description
Powerful 10 lb holding force: Each catch contains a single strong magnet capable of keeping persistently opening cabinet doors or drawers closed. Ideal for doors where the original latch or hinge has failed.
Ultra-thin construction: The magnet assembly measures approximately 3.65 mm thick while delivering around 10 pounds of magnetic pull. Its slim form factor stays out of sight yet is strong enough for cabinet doors, drawers, lids, sliding wardrobe panels and duette blinds — useful in caravans and lockers as well.
Durable metal design: The catches are built from metal to resist cracking and corrosion, making them more robust and longer lasting than plastic units. They include high-quality stainless steel screws for mounting so you won’t worry about stripped or broken fasteners during installation.
What’s included: Package contains 4 magnetic catches, 16 mounting screws and 8 double-sided adhesive pads. The adhesive pads are provided for no-drill installations, and the screws are supplied for a permanent, sturdy fit.
Adhesive notes and use: The supplied double-sided tape is strong enough for many applications and saves you from drilling, protecting cabinet finishes. For best results with adhesive, press firmly and wait 12 hours before repeatedly opening and closing the door so the bond can cure. For heavy use or long-term reliability, install using the screws after aligning the parts with the adhesive.
Pros
- Slim 3.65 mm profile stays hidden
- Strong ~10 lb magnetic hold
- Includes screws and adhesive for flexible mounting
Cons
- Adhesive may not hold under heavy stress long-term
- Can be strong enough to make knobless doors harder to open
- Peeling adhesive backing can be fiddly
VerdictA compact, heavy-duty solution for doors and drawers that won’t stay closed. The metal housings and stainless mounting screws outlast plastic alternatives, and the 3.65 mm profile keeps the catch discreet. Adhesive pads make installation fast, while screws give a secure long-term hold. Best for anyone wanting an affordable, low-profile fix for kitchen cabinets, closets, RV lockers, or storage lids

Good product — use the screws
They work well. Don’t rely on the adhesive alone for a lasting hold; use the screws to secure them after positioning.

Strong magnet; adhesive is weak
Magnetic strength is excellent. The peel-and-stick pads weren’t reliable for me, and the backing was hard to remove, so I used screws instead.

Quick, unobtrusive fix
Solved several old cabinet doors that didn’t seal well anymore. They hold until a gentle pull, then release cleanly. Simple and discreet once mounted.

Works as promised — simple alignment trick for screws
Installed these on a cupboard that wouldn’t stay shut. Screws are high quality and I could drive them into oak even with sore hands. Magnets are strong; if too firm for your door, offset placement helps. Tip: use the adhesive to position, then fasten with screws for perfect alignment.

Finally fixed those loose cabinet doors
These were ridiculously easy to fit — took me under five minutes using the adhesive — and they hold very firmly. The satisfying click when they engage is a small but real win. Affordable, well designed, and they removed a persistent irritation in my kitchen.

Magnet did the job
Bought to fix a kitchen door that wasn’t closing well. Installation was easy and after two months everything still works perfectly. Good value for the performance.

Super easy installation
Installation was straightforward — clean the surface first, the adhesive works better that way. If the tape gives out, the included screws make it permanent. They’re compact, look tidy, and have stayed in place.

Small but effective for a custom cabinet project
Great little magnets. I mounted one on a repurposed pine blanket box used as a kitchen cabinet and it keeps the lid snug against the sealing strip. One unit gives just enough pull to prevent popping while still allowing normal opening.

Well made and reliable
Sturdy construction and strong magnets. The double-sided tape is decent and the overall quality surprised me for the price.

Exceeded expectations
Easy to fit and the thin profile is ideal for tight clearances. Doors close with a firm, pleasant click and stay shut without rattling.

Solved my tilted-drawer problem instantly
My filing cabinet drawers wouldn’t stay shut due to house settling. Mounting the plates fixed it right away. I only attached the plate to one side of each drawer and used screws — tape seemed unreliable for long-term hold.

Flat but plenty strong
Quick arrival. Units are low-profile yet surprisingly powerful for their size.
