WHAT THEY FIT: These J-style shelf brackets are sized for standard 1" x 12" and 2" x 12" boards (nominal); actual board widths they accommodate are 0.75" x 11.25" and 1.5" x 11.25". Bracket dimensions measure approximately 11.25" x 6" x 1.5" (shelf board not included).
MATERIAL & FINISH: Constructed from 5mm thick steel for rigidity, each bracket is finished with a black powder-coat that resists chipping and corrosion while offering a matte, understated appearance suitable for many decor styles.
LOAD & CAPACITY: Built for strength — a properly mounted pair of brackets will support up to about 160 lbs. The 12" depth increases usable shelf space and helps support larger or heavier items safely when anchored into studs.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX: Each pack includes six J brackets plus a selection of mounting hardware and an installation manual. The supplied fasteners cover common mounting situations; for unusually thin drywall or very heavy loads, consider reinforced anchors or toggle systems.
HOW TO USE: Position brackets on a studded wall for maximum capacity; slide the shelf board over the horizontal leg, then fasten through the countersunk holes. Very strong but needs studs
These are heavy-duty and robust. Not ideal for thin drywall alone — the provided anchors won’t hold well under substantial weight, so mount into studs or use heavy-duty toggles.

Exactly what I needed
Solid, true to the description and easy to install. Screws and anchors for stud or drywall mounting were included and installation was accurate. Perfect fit for 2x8 boards (7-1/4" actual width).

Unexpectedly solid and dependable
These brackets feel far heavier and more substantial than typical hardware. The steel is thick and once installed they don’t budge. The finish is tidy and visible hardware actually looks intentional. The mounting kit had multiple fasteners for different wall types and even a few extras, which is helpful during installation.

Looks great after staining

Incorrect measurement info
Arrived quickly and was packaged well. Mounting hardware and a level were included and the product looked solid. However, the listed metric conversion was wrong: 7.25" is about 18.4 cm, not 20.3 cm, so the item was too short and I returned it.

Well made and consistent pieces
All brackets matched precisely and had clean countersunk holes for the supplied flat head screws. With solid stud mounting at common spacing a 1x12 will support heavy books. If you must install between studs, don’t rely on the basic anchors—use heavy toggles and machine screws for safety.
