Tall 3" Heavy-Duty Adjustable Metal Door Stopper — Spring Wedge
Product description
Product overview: One heavy-duty door stopper included. Constructed from stainless steel and standing 3 inches (76 mm) tall, this wedge is larger and stronger than many standard stoppers and is intended to prevent doors from moving even in windy conditions.
Adjustable spring mechanism: An integrated, high-tension spring sits beneath the door to generate holding force. The spring works with rubber contact pads on both the top and bottom of the unit to secure the stopper between the floor and the door edge.
Grip and compatibility: Designed for heavy commercial swinging doors, metal and safety doors, self-closing hinged doors, double doors and balcony doors with extra clearance underneath. It also functions well on glass doors and across carpet, wooden floors and tile surfaces.
How to use: Slide the hinged wedge under the door until the spring compresses and the rubber pads engage the floor and door. To release, lift the hinge to remove the wedge. The unit is intended for frequent use in homes, offices, schools and other public spaces to prevent slamming and hold doors open safely.
Warranty and design: The stopper comes with a 3-year warranty and customer support promising a response within 10 hours. This is a registered design: US Registered Design No: D1138723.

I needed something to keep a heavy porch door open without sliding in gusts. This one slides under easily, grips firmly, and tucks away out of sight when not needed.

Quiet, reliable for hotel-style doors
I tested several types while traveling and this was the clear winner. It keeps hotel doors quietly and fully open when loading luggage, unlike small plastic wedges that slip or fail.

Works well in classrooms
Easy to use and lightweight. Only issue: the top rubber pad started coming loose front and back. Otherwise it’s sturdy and stays put.

Not right for very heavy doors
Didn’t hold very heavy doors as advertised. After a month the bottom seemed to lift from the floor under the door’s weight.
