Matter-Compatible Smart Plug — Voice-Enabled 15A/1800W Outlet
Product description
What’s in the box: each unit ships with a single Matter smart plug, a quick-start guide, and a limited warranty card.
Scheduling and timers: program automatic shutdowns and delayed offs to cut wasted power. Typical uses include holiday trees, lamps, fans, TVs, humidifiers, blenders and other small appliances. Timed events and recurring schedules are supported through the controller or the AiDot app.
Matter-first setup: because the plug is Matter-certified, you can add it directly to compatible smart home platforms — Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, or SmartThings — rather than juggling multiple vendor apps. If you prefer not to use a hub, the AiDot app offers an alternative control path.
Voice and remote control: once paired with your smart home system you can operate devices hands-free via Siri, Alexa, Google Assistant, or SmartThings voice routines. Remote control from the app lets you turn items on before you get home or power them down after you leave, so you can manage consumption on the go.
Safety and build: constructed with fire-retardant materials and certified to ETL and FCC standards, the outlet supports up to 15 amps (1800 watts) and includes basic protections for overloads and short-circuits. The housing is compact so two units can often be stacked in a single duplex outlet without obstructing the other slot.
Local operation: when devices are provisioned on your LAN using Matter, they can communicate directly over the local network. That peer-to-peer behavior enables basic on/off control and automations even if internet access is interrupted.
Network and compatibility notes: the plug uses 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi and supports IPv6. To add the device to Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home or SmartThings via Matter, a Matter-capable controller (HomePod, Echo Dot, Nest, SmartThings Hub, etc.) is required. Alternatively, the AiDot app can be used without an external hub for direct device management.
Pros
- Matter interoperability for cross-platform control
- Compact footprint fits stacked outlets
- ETL/FCC certified with 15A/1800W capacity
Cons
- Requires Matter controller for native platform setup
- Only 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi supported
- Some users may prefer power monitoring info
VerdictA sturdy, compact smart outlet that delivers reliable on/off schedules, voice control, and LAN-based Matter interoperability. Works well once paired; requires a Matter-certified hub for full platform integration unless you opt to manage devices in the AiDot app. Good safety specs and solid performance for everyday home automation.

Mixed reliability on connections
Some units linked without trouble, others were stubborn. Even with QR codes it took extra effort to get a few of them connected.

Workaround fixed initial pairing problems
I didn’t realize a Matter controller would be needed for voice platform integration, which was frustrating. After a few attempts I found a direct pairing method via the voice app and the plug connected in under five minutes.

Good choice for Home Assistant users
Integrates well with Home Assistant. Would be nice if real-time wattage readings were included; that appears to be a feature reserved for a higher-end model.

Fast response, fits nicely
Paired perfectly with my SmartThings hub. These switches respond almost instantly — much quicker than some of my older plugs. Small size lets me stack them, so they don’t block the other outlet. Highly recommended.

Setup hiccup solved with AiDot app
Purchased a six-pack. Apple Home pairing was difficult at first, but the free AiDot app walked me through setup easily. Uses home Wi‑Fi and once the first unit is added, the rest join quickly. Interface is intuitive; happy so far.
