Tramontina Utsava 11-Inch Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Ceramic Dosa Tawa
Product description
What’s included: a single 11-inch Tramontina Utsava dosa tawa with a ceramic-coated cooking surface and a lifetime warranty.
Construction and materials: The pan is tri-ply clad — stainless steel outer layers sandwich an aluminum core to speed heat-up and promote uniform temperatures across the cooking surface. The interior has a ceramic nonstick coating intended to release batter and breads with minimal oil and resist stains. The exterior is mirror-polished stainless steel for a modern look.
Handle, size and compatibility: The 11-inch diameter gives ample room for dosas, crepes, tortillas and flatbreads. A stainless steel handle is fitted with a soft-touch silicone sleeve to improve grip and help keep the grip cooler during stovetop use. The tawa is compatible with gas, electric and induction cooktops and is rated oven-safe up to 400°F for finishing or reheating in the oven.
Care and use: The ceramic interior is designed for easy food release and simpler cleanup; it is dishwasher-safe, though hand washing is suggested to preserve the coating. The tri-ply core promotes even browning and consistent results with thin batters and flatbreads. Tramontina backs the product with a lifetime warranty, covering manufacturing defects under their policy.

VerdictThis 11-inch Tramontina Utsava dosa tawa blends a tri-ply stainless steel build with a ceramic nonstick interior to deliver even heat and easy release for dosas, rotis, crepes and tortillas. It’s versatile and attractive, with oven compatibility and a lifetime warranty, though some users report occasional sticking and a heavier feel. Overall, it’s a capable option for home cooks who want induction

Highly recommended by me
I’m enjoying it and would recommend it to others.

Good quality at first glance
Happy with the finish and overall feel. I’ll watch how it wears over time. Two negatives: higher cost and long delivery time; otherwise it would have been five stars.

Solid performance
Very sturdy construction and food doesn’t stick when used correctly.

Sticks for crepes
I bought it to make crepes but batter clung to the surface. Not what I expected.

Not reliable for daily Indian cooking
Used for everyday Indian meals but within two months the surface wouldn’t clean properly. After contacting the company I was told the issue wasn’t covered under warranty.

Middling nonstick
Doesn’t perform as a true nonstick for me. It begins to stick after normal cleaning.

My Best of List 5/5
Daily go-to pan
This pan outperforms pricier pieces and has become our everyday choice. Low edges make flipping pancakes and sandwiches simple, and the coating releases food well—especially on induction. Cleanup is quick with an occasional oil wipe, and the handle is comfortable. Seems built to last.

Fast on induction, cooks evenly
Heats up very quickly on induction and the ceramic layer works well with little oil. The concave shape helps spread batter, and dosas and uttapams brown evenly. The handle can get warm and the pan is a touch heavy to wash. Tri-ply clad, PTFE/PFOA-free and oven/gas/induction compatible with a lifetime warranty.

Promising start
Used it for tortillas and pancakes so far—feels heavy and well made. No rust after hand washing, and it is nonstick in my use.
-
Hammad Ali 5/5
Works for roti but handle heats
Good for making roti, but the handle can become hot—take care while cooking.
-
Rooban 5/5
Well suited for flatbreads
Heats evenly and lets tortillas and dosas flip easily. Lightweight and easy to clean, needs little oil and works well for daily use.

Gaurav Joshi 4/5
Sturdy but sticky at times
A heavy-duty feel and the handle stays cool as advertised. Works fine on gas and glass cooktops and is oven-safe, but I still see food cling more than I expected from a nonstick surface.

Poor durability
I had a bad experience: it deteriorated after one use and became difficult to clean. I prefer the brand’s stainless-steel pans, which have held up better for me.
