Carbon Steel Mini Wok — 8" Flat-Bottom Stir-Fry Pan with Wood Handle
Product description
This mini wok is a traditional Chinese-style, flat-bottom pan made to handle high-heat cooking for single-serve dishes: stir-fries, fried rice, noodles, vegetables, meats and seafood, as well as reheating leftovers. Its compact shape and depth let you toss and sear small portions with focused heat.
Construction and size: the body is formed from sturdy 1.4-millimeter carbon steel and fitted with a heat-resistant rubberwood handle. The pan uses a riveted assembly for durability and includes a hanging loop for convenient storage. Its exterior dimensions are 8 (diameter) x 15.25 x 2.875-inches, a footprint well suited to small-batch cooking.
Performance: carbon steel heats up quickly and spreads heat evenly, reacting fast to changes in burner temperature so you have good control while stir-frying or searing. With repeated use the surface builds a natural seasoned patina that improves food release and flavor over time.
Compatibility and care: the flat-bottom design sits securely on gas, electric and induction ranges. Season the wok before its first use and maintain seasoning regularly to help prevent rust. If surface rust appears it can be removed and the pan reseasoned to restore performance. A recipe and full care instructions are included. Hand wash only, dry completely, and reapply oil as needed. The product includes a lifetime warranty against manufacturer’s defects.
Pros
- Fast, even heating and quick temperature response
- Compact size ideal for single servings and small batches
- Durable carbon steel that builds a natural nonstick patina
Cons
- Requires initial and ongoing seasoning to prevent rust
- Rivet or handle fit may be inconsistent on some units
- Hand wash only and needs regular maintenance
VerdictA nimble, quick-heating wok that’s ideal for one-person meals and small portions. Carbon steel offers responsive heat and develops a natural patina, but it requires initial and ongoing seasoning. The flat base makes it stable on most cooktops; check rivets and handle fit when you receive it. Great for fast stir-fry, eggs, and reheating if you’ll maintain the seasoning.

Handy compact wok if you season it
I like this compact wok. At first it seemed small, but it’s perfect for quick veggies or single-serve dishes. It’s plain carbon steel and needs to be seasoned—do the 3–4 initial coats they recommend. It takes time to build up a full patina but will get there. If you want to cook a full entrée for one, a slightly larger pan might be more comfortable.

Arrived missing the handle
Nice petite wok but it showed up without the handle attached. I’m in touch with customer support to resolve it.

Convenient and quick for everyday use
At first I thought it was a bit small, but it’s just right for fast meals. Once seasoned it’s nonstick, easy to clean, and has a comfortable weight without being heavy.

Ideal small size for quick meals
After doing four seasoning coats it performs well. Great for small stir-fries, sautéing mushrooms or a quick omelet. Easy to keep seasoned and clean. I even gave one to each grandchild for college kitchens — a perfect compact option for many tasks.

Perfect single-person pan but check rivets
Good size for one and very thin carbon steel. It’s lightweight and works well if you maintain seasoning. Mine had loose riveting though, so minus points for assembly quality.

Disappointed — rivets loosened after seasoning
I was excited about the size and quality but was let down when the rivets loosened after I seasoned the pan. It rattles now where it was solid before, so all the work I put into seasoning feels wasted. Rivet quality really matters here.

My first wok — works well for one
Excellent product. I’ve mainly used it for fried egg with rice and the patina is developing nicely. A great choice if you cook for one or two people.

Lightweight and practical for one
I wanted a small wok and this fits the bill. It’s light with a nice deep bowl and flat bottom for ceramic or electric tops. It will rust if neglected, but I dry and oil it like cast iron and the rust goes away. A solid cookware piece when cared for.

Finally able to toss food indoors
This little wok has become my go-to. My range isn’t ideal for a big wok, but this one is light enough to flip and stir comfortably on the stovetop. Carbon steel gives a great nonstick patina for eggs and quick dishes. It already has a starter seasoning and is perfect for single portions.

Well-made and the right thickness
Nicely packed, sturdy handle, and a good shape and thickness. Holds up well after seasoning for small-batch cooking.

Effective nonstick once seasoned
Seasoned as instructed over a ceramic top and it paid off. Made crispy tofu and a fried egg with no sticking. Really pleased with how it turned out.

Great for camping and small batches
I have a large wok for big jobs and wanted a smaller one for car camping and light home use. Follow the initial seasoning steps and it’s ready. I seasoned further by frying onions, then cooked an egg without sticking. There’s no lid included but I found an 8" lid that fits. Ideal for quick meals and outdoor use.
