Trailerable Bass Boat Cover — 16–18.5 ft V‑Hull, 1200D Waterproof
Product description
Premium fabric and waterproofing: Constructed from 1200D Oxford cloth with a double PU coating, this boat cover is engineered to repel water and resist heavy weather. Sealed seams and applied waterproof tape boost resistance to rain and storm exposure, delivering a high level of water protection for boats in storage or moored outdoors.
Secure, all‑around fit: An elastic hem cord works with heavy-duty, adjustable tie-down straps featuring quick-release buckles to create a close 360° fit around the hull. Double-needle stitching and reinforced stress points at load zones improve longevity where straps and buckles attach.
Trailering and ventilation features: Extended buckle straps are designed for reliable fastening during trailering while thickened rear straps add extra hold. Dual rear vents reduce wind uplift on the highway and help limit moisture build-up beneath the cover when the boat is stored.
Boat compatibility and sizing: Intended for bass boats, bass trackers, V-hull fishing boats, tri-hulls and outboard runabouts. Recommended for boats 16 to 18.5 feet in length with beams up to 94 inches for use in storage, trailering and mooring situations.
Storage and motor protection: Supplied with a large, two-purpose storage bag that can also serve as a motor cover, so you can protect the outboard when the cover is stowed. The product is backed by up to two years of manufacturer support for peace of mind.
Pros
- Robust 1200D Oxford fabric with double PU coating
- Elastic hem plus adjustable quick-release straps for tight 360° fit
- Dual vents and reinforced stress points for trailering and storage
Cons
- Plastic buckles can become brittle over time in extreme heat
- Mildew can develop underneath in very humid conditions
- Not ideal for prolonged high‑speed towing without extra tie‑downs
VerdictA rugged, well-equipped cover for trailerable bass and V-hull fishing boats that balances strong waterproofing and secure fastening for storage and trailering. Vents and reinforced straps help performance, though straps and plastic hardware can wear sooner in extreme heat or heavy, prolonged tow. Overall a solid, protective choice for seasonal storage and regular use.

Good Fit for My 17.5' Tracker
Fits my 17.5' Tracker perfectly and conforms well around the hull. Happy with how it sits and secures to the trailer.

Perfect Fit and Long-Lasting Protection
Snug on my 16' fishing boat with trolling motor and seats attached. Keeps out sun, leaves, debris and winter snow. Material remains durable with no fading or brittleness so far.

Works Well Long-Term, Not for High-Speed Tows
Covered my 19.5' bass boat completely and has lasted nearly three years. Great for storage but can flap at highway speeds; plastic buckles may fail eventually, though simple DIY fixes work.

Keeps My Restored Boat Clean
After restoring an old boat this cover prevents leaves and rain. Fits my 17' Nitro snugly with elastic hem and trailer straps so I can tow covered. Heavy-duty feel and vents are a plus.

Reordered After 18 Months — Held Up
First cover lasted 18 months in Florida sun and never leaked despite surface wear, so I ordered another. On a wide 20' dual console the 20–22' size fits snugly and the included outboard cover helped secure the motor.

Durable but Watch for Mildew and Straps
Kept our boat dry through tropical storms and a 100+ mile tow. We sized up for a wide beam. The top looks fine, but mildew formed underneath in humid weather and some straps/buckles felt brittle after extended heat exposure.

Surprisingly Solid and Protective
I rarely review, but this cover impressed me. It's thick, ventilated, and has many attachment points so it secures tightly to my 20' Javelin. It covered the Ulterra trolling motor, two 12" fishfinders, seats and windshields; water beads and runs off rather than pooling.
