Pyle Foldable Microphone Stand with Telescoping Boom (37.5–65 in)
Product description
Height adjustability: The stand raises and lowers smoothly between about 37.5 inches and 65.0 inches using a clutch-style locking mechanism. That range covers seated and standing vocal positions as well as many instrument miking needs.
Telescoping boom: The horizontal boom arm extends up to roughly 28.0 inches and uses a clutch to secure angle and reach. The boom lets you position a mic away from the main vertical post for overheads, podium work, or keyboard setups.
Universal mic mount: A standard USA 5/8" threaded microphone adapter is included for compatibility with most handheld and clip-style mic holders. A heavy-duty lock-tight clutch is provided to help prevent slippage at commonly adjusted joints.
Foldable tripod base and weight: The three-legged, fold-flat base gives a balance of stability and compact storage. The assembly's overall mass is approximately 4.54 lbs, providing moderate counterweight for everyday microphones without being cumbersome to transport.
Construction and finish: The frame is formed from lightweight metal for portability, with plastic tension components at adjustment points. The unit ships in a glossy black finish and packs down for easy transit and storage—suitable for rehearsals, home studios, and casual gigs.

VerdictThis mic stand offers a lot of utility for its cost: solid height range (37.5"–65"), a 28" extendable boom, and a universal 5/8" adapter make it versatile for many mics and setups. Stays put for drum overheads
Holds up well as an overhead drum mic stand.

Not for professional rigs
Finicky and cheaply made; the plastic fasteners don’t clamp securely and the microphone tends to slide down. I wouldn’t use this in a pro setup.

Light-duty but functional
I bought two as budget replacements knowing they wouldn’t match my heavier pro stands. They perform as advertised for lighter, indoor use. If your setup is handled roughly or needs heavy-duty reliability, these aren’t for you—otherwise they’re exactly what the price suggests.

Can’t angle the boom reliably
The boom won’t hold tight at an angle, so you can’t position a mic over a keyboard player’s face reliably. Not a good buy for that use.

Works despite a broken piece on arrival
Needed a cheap spare stand and this fit the bill, though one plastic tightener was broken out of the box. It still holds and is usable, so I kept it rather than return it. Not pro-level, but fine for casual or backup use.

Sturdy and attractive finish
Looks great in black and feels solid in everyday use. I’ve been using mine for months with no issues—reliable and stylish.

Lightweight and travel-friendly
Solid for the price—light and easy to carry, but limited for heavy mics. With the boom extended use a very light capsule or add weight to the legs to prevent tipping. Great for travel and casual gigs, but heavier-duty stands outperform it.

Very disappointing build and reliability
Extremely flimsy compared with professional stands. Mine arrived with a split clip and missing boom knob; replacements were slow and incorrect. The boom eventually drooped and the construction feels cheap. Not worth the trouble if you need dependable gear.

Good value — clip included and anti-slip details
Mine arrived with textured rubber grips on the height collar and boom end that improve the feel. The included mic clip was a welcome extra and raises the overall value. Many adjustment knobs are plastic, so avoid over-tightening the top boom nut to prevent stripping. For a starter or spare stand it performs well.

Does the job, but don’t overtighten
You get what you pay for: much of the hardware is plastic and the tensioners thread into molded components. The main boom can slip unless you handle the grips gently. The included clip’s molding has some flashing—careful trimming fixes that. It does come with thread adapters and even cable clips, which is handy.
