SNOWCLAD 12-inch Hybrid Nonstick Stainless Steel Saute Pan with Lid
Product description
The pan uses a laser-etched “snowflake” pattern that fuses stainless steel with a nonstick surface, giving you the look and durability of steel plus easier food release. That etched clad area is more extensive than many hex-pattern hybrids, letting you cook with less oil and reducing sticking during routine cooking.
Built from multi-layer composite steel, the body improves heat conduction over plain stainless. This construction spreads heat quickly and evenly across the 12-inch base and slightly curved sides, making it suitable for deep frying, broiling, sautéing and braising in a single vessel.
Crafted from high-grade stainless steel with a bonded hybrid nonstick interior, the pan is PFOA-free and designed to be free of toxic coatings common to some alternatives. The materials are intended for durability and repeated daily use while maintaining a safe cooking surface.
Cleaning is straightforward thanks to the hybrid nonstick finish and stainless exterior. The pan pairs well with metal, wood or silicone utensils and is convenient for apartment kitchens and busy households, as it handles a variety of tasks from boiling pasta to pan-roasting proteins.
This model is compatible with all major cooktops—gas, electric, glass, halogen and induction—and comes with a tempered glass lid plus short helper handle and long main handle. Both handles are metal and riveted for oven safety; the pan is dishwasher-safe but will benefit from hand washing to preserve surface appearance.
Pros
- Even heat distribution from multi-layer clad construction
- Hybrid nonstick surface reduces sticking and cleanup
- Works on gas, electric, glass and induction cooktops
Cons
- Best results at medium heat; needs fat for high-temp searing
- Glass lid may have lower heat tolerance than the pan
- Polished exterior shows fingerprints
VerdictThis 12" SNOWCLAD saute pan blends a patterned stainless exterior with a hybrid nonstick interior to offer even heating, easy release and broad stovetop compatibility. It’s robustly built, performs well for browning and one-pot meals, and cleans up simply; the lid and oven-safe metal handles add versatility. It’s not a PTFE-free ceramic, but a layered composite designed for everyday cooking—best u

Really non-stick in daily use
After a week of regular cooking the pan has been impressive—easy release, quick heat-up and very simple cleanup. Food tastes great and I’m planning to get more pieces later.

Good value, performs well so far
This 5-qt braiser is my second Snowclad piece and I’ve liked both. They’re adequately nonstick on medium to low heat and brown nicely once you learn them. They heat very evenly. Note: the glass lid isn’t rated for quite as high oven temps as the pan.

Excellent deep, heavy nonstick pan
Great large, deep frying pan. Follow the seasoning steps included. It’s solidly made, heats uniformly and is a strong value for a heavy hybrid nonstick.

My new favorite cookware
Fantastic pan — nothing sticks and no internal screw heads to trap food, so cleaning is easy. The depth makes it ideal for one-pot meals and it fits well on a 12-inch burner.

Outperforms my other pans
This pan quickly became my go-to. I wanted a Hexclad-style piece without the high tag and this delivers. I’ve seared steaks, fried eggs and sautéed veggies—everything heats evenly and nothing stuck. I use metal utensils and cleanup is simple. I’ll be adding more pieces to match.

Replaced my warped skillet — very happy
I swapped out an older warped pan for this one and the size is perfect for family meals. The deeper sides reduce splatter, it feels solid and the lid sits flush without warping. After months of use there are no scratches and cleaning is easy. Bought extras for the set.

Heavy-duty look and oven-safe handles
Attractive polished exterior with a nonstick interior and a glass lid so you can watch progress. The pan has a short helper handle and a long one that you attach quickly with the included tool. It’s hefty and cooks like higher-end French pieces. Season per instructions and it performs well; heat until water beads before adding food.

Solid pan when used correctly
Bought late last year and followed the care directions. Avoid high heat and it performs very well. When used as instructed, food releases cleanly. Would recommend.

Performs like higher-end cookware
I initially had a shipping mix-up but the replacement arrived quickly and matched the description. I own other reputable brands and this matches their performance while offering good overall value.

Lightweight yet capable for a home cook
As someone with professional experience, I appreciate this lighter hybrid compared with pricier brands. Heat spreads evenly and browning is good with proper fat. Finish is pretty but shows fingerprints. It’s not as slick as traditional PTFE pans—use oil for searing.

Not for me
After a month I wasn’t happy—the oil pooled toward the rim instead of the center, so I had to use more oil than expected.

Great on induction, but needs fat
This skillet works superbly on an induction top—heats fast and feels solid. Short handles save space. There’s a slight vibration from the composite material, and it’s only partially nonstick: you’ll need oil or butter for most cooking.
