Guardhouse Heavy-Duty Mint Set Storage Box (Single Unit)

Product description

Includes: one Guardhouse heavy-duty mint set box (no coins or bullion included).

Dimensions: 10" x 6 13/16" x 3 5/8" (listed numerically as 10 x 6.81 x 3.62). Capacity: fits up to 30 mint sets; for thicker modern sets plan on about 25. The box is intended to hold most contemporary commemorative and mint proof groupings.

Construction: made with a high-quality, textured outer surface for resistance to scuffing and handling wear. Reinforced tape filaments are embedded in the board to give the case extra tensile strength and durability for shipping and repeated transport. Use it to organize collections on shelves, to consolidate sets for moving, or to protect sets during transit. Manufactured in the USA.

Pros

  • High-strength, reinforced construction
  • Holds up to 30 standard mint sets
  • Textured exterior resists scuffs

Cons

  • May not be snug for some official proof set formats
  • Reduced capacity for thicker modern sets
  • Cardboard still vulnerable to extreme moisture

VerdictA robust, purpose-built box for collectors who need reliable protection and easier handling of multiple mint sets. It accommodates most modern commemorative and mint proof groupings — up to 30 standard sets or roughly 25 of the thicker, newer sets — and its reinforced tape filaments and textured finish increase tear resistance during transit. 1. Tommy Farrell 5/5

    Solid build

    Excellent storage

  2. Ron 3/5

    Acceptable substitute

Not as exact as official Mint cases; sets can shift since the fit isn't snug.

    Sturdy but check fit

Very strong, but dimensions don't suit my US Proof Sets; I prefer Mint-supplied boxes for a tighter fit.

  4. CHRIS BROCATO 5/5

    Good for proofs

Solid for proof and silver proof sets—fits nicely and stacks without wobble.

Holds up well and tolerates rough handling; comes in attractive colors—use a color scheme to label different sets.

I'll buy again; works perfectly for my mint proofs.
