HumminGuru EZ Record Washer — Manual Vinyl Cleaning Kit
Product description
Watertight label clamp: The unit includes a patented clamp that secures a record with a straight-down press. The clamp’s inner ring is lined with a soft sealing material that keeps labels completely dry during wet cleans, reducing the risk of label damage from moisture.
Easy one-handed rotation: A dedicated handle lets you spin the record back and forth without touching the playing area. The design converts a smooth, single-handed back-and-forth motion into controlled rotations — the recommended procedure is twelve turns clockwise and twelve turns counterclockwise for a full service clean — avoiding direct fingerprints or scratches.
Gentle brushes and alcohol-free solution: The kit ships with ultra-soft goat-hair brushes selected to work safely in grooves while lifting dust, light grime, grease and fingerprints. The clamp and brush spacing accommodate record thicknesses from roughly 1 to 3 mm so the stylus area isn’t stressed. The supplied cleaning fluid is alcohol-free to minimize solvent exposure to labels and vinyl.
Draining and storage: The washer basin features two optimised outlets positioned to pour cleanly without splashing. A removable drying rack holds multiple records upright for air drying (stores under the main unit beneath a protective lid), creating a compact all-in-one cleaning station.
Sizes and adapters: The set includes a 7" adapter designed for 45rpm singles with a 38 mm center hole, and supports standard 10" and 12" LPs as well. The package arrives as a complete kit with the washer basin, clamp, brushes, cleaning cloths, cleaning fluid sample, and the drying/storage rack.
Pros
- Label-protecting watertight clamp
- Soft goat-hair brushes for gentle groove cleaning
- Integrated drying rack stores under unit
Cons
- Not effective on heavily baked-in grime
- Main components are plastic
- Limited drying speed without extra airflow
VerdictThis manual wet-wash system protects labels with a watertight clamp, spins records with a single-handed crank, and cleans both sides using soft goat-hair brushes and an alcohol-free fluid. It’s an excellent, affordable choice for routine maintenance and bringing thrift-store finds back to life. It won’t replace an ultrasonic for baked-in grit, and drying can be time-consuming, but for regular surf

Good for surface crud only
Sturdy, simple design that removes surface dirt without harming vinyl. Don’t expect miracles for deep-seated grit—ultrasonic cleaning is required for that. This unit does what it’s made to do.

Convenient and efficient — quick cycles
Very convenient. I can set up, wash and wipe a record in about a minute. Noise was reduced noticeably; tougher discs sometimes need a second pass. A little goes a long way with the diluted solution, and I’ve been able to process many records quickly by adding extra drying racks.

Highly satisfied — recommend it
Very good unit for cleaning LPs.

Works well but no spare fluid
Cleans light to moderate dirt effectively and the grip mechanism is great for protecting labels. The drying rack is handy but full air-dry takes time. My only gripe: the kit ships with one bottle of fluid and no replacement options included.

Practical for cleaning a large collection
I’m not an obsessive collector but had many LPs to process. After cleaning a couple hundred records I’m impressed. The plastic feels adequate and the turning motion is smooth if handled gently. The drying rack plus a low-speed fan speeds up drying nicely.

Huge improvement for the money
Exceeded what I expected. I towel off briefly then let records sit on the drying rack for about ten minutes. Both new and used LPs gained clarity, better sound staging and less surface noise. Excellent value for a wet cleaner.

Fantastic machine — highly recommended
Five stars. Very useful, easy and quick; a pleasure to use for LP maintenance. Even records I thought were clean showed visibly dirty water after washing. Not as sophisticated as pricier machines, but it does the job reliably and affordably. Recommended for keeping your vinyl clean.

Delivers thorough cleaning
Excellent for restoring vinyl that mainly needs surface cleaning. If records were well cared for but just collected dust, this gives them new life. Good cost-to-performance ratio.

Much easier than hand-spinning
Pulled my old collection out of storage and found this far easier on my hands than a spin-clean rig. Washed around 100 records quickly — results are very good, with fewer pops and clicks. The brushes clear debris well and the drying rack’s minimal contact design protects the discs.

Brought thrift finds back to life
Used mostly on secondhand records and the improvement was obvious — less crackle and dust noise. Setup was straightforward: the kit comes complete with the washer, clamp, brushes, cloths and cleaning fluid. The record locks in securely and the handle lets you rotate the disc smoothly while cleaning. Much more controlled than scrubbing by hand.

Simple, safe wet cleaning
A smart alternative before stepping up to ultrasonic. The center clamp covers labels and seals them from the solution. Slide the disc in, lock the turner and rotate as instructed—about a few full rotations is enough. The twin goat-hair brushes clean both sides at once and the motion is gentle. Very happy with the results.
