PRODUCT TYPE: AWS E71T-GS self-shielding flux-cored welding wire formulated for gasless MIG applications.
CORE FORMULATION: The wire includes deoxidizing agents in the flux core to stabilize the arc and promote consistent, porosity-free deposits. It tolerates light rust and mill scale better than many solid wires.
WELDING PERFORMANCE: Produces low spatter, forms a solid slag that removes cleanly, and yields a consistent, attractive bead. Designed for all-position welding — flat, vertical, overhead and corner joints — and especially useful in windy or outdoor environments where external shielding gas isn’t feasible.
MATERIAL COMPATIBILITY: Intended for carbon steel and low-alloy structural steels used in construction, vehicle repair, farm equipment, and general fabrication. Not intended for aluminum or stainless applications.
SPOOL AND PACKAGING: Supplied on durable ABS plastic spools that resist breakage and handle transport stresses. Each spool is sized for trouble-free feeding in common MIG/flux-core wire feeders.

Surprisingly professional results
I hesitated because I’d only used big-name spools before, but this wire exceeded expectations. Packaging was protective for shipping and storage. It welds well even on less-than-perfect metal, flows smoothly with minimal splatter, and the spool fit my machine better than the OEM reels.

Reliable for professional use
As a pro welder I appreciate the gasless design for quick setups and outdoor work. The .030" size gives good control and penetration on mild steel, feeds cleanly with very little spatter, and produces strong welds even on thicker pieces. The spool construction is also robust.
