Chicco Zest 4-in-1 Convertible High Chair — Folding Multi-Use Seat
Product description
This updated Chicco Zest high chair includes a molded one-piece seat shell, a five-point harness with quick-release buckles, a BPA-free removable tray and detachable leg extensions. The design adds extra legroom, a simplified open-and-fold mechanism, and a harness that releases quickly for faster transitions. The tray stores on the rear legs when folded so the unit tucks away neatly.
Constructed with a smooth, wipeable plastic seat and a BPA-free tray, the chair avoids fabric covers and tight crevices, making it simple to clean after meals. The legs are lightweight yet sturdy, and the set disassembles easily for transport. In high-chair mode it provides table-height seating; shorten the leg extenders for a low feeding chair that’s great for play or floor-level meals.
To convert as your child grows, remove the harness and tray to create a toddler chair, and as they get older the seat functions as a stable, table-height youth stool rated for children up to 60 lbs. The chair is intended for use starting around six months, offering a compact footprint, easy folding and multiple configurations to extend its usable life.
Pros
- One-piece molded seat and removable BPA-free tray clean quickly
- Converts through four configurations, usable up to 60 lbs
- Lightweight construction and compact fold for easy storing
Cons
- No padding — may feel less comfortable for long sits
- Crossbar can make getting child in and out awkward
- Tends to slide on very smooth floors and has no footrest
VerdictPractical and adaptable, the Chicco Zest is a no-fuss high chair that grows with a child. Its molded shell and removable BPA-free tray make cleanup fast, and the convertible leg setup and harness removal let you shift between high chair, low chair, toddler seat and stool. It’s ideal for families who want a simple, lightweight, space-saving option — though it lacks padding and can feel less stable

A bit shorter than expected
I haven’t used it with my baby yet, but it feels shorter than our previous chair. Pressing on the seat made the legs slide outward and it moves easily on our floors. It folds awkwardly and needs support to stand folded. If it doesn’t perform well once we start using it, I’ll try something else.

Dependable every-day high chair
I love how light and sturdy it is. It cleans up after meals in seconds, folds away when we don’t need it, and adapts as my baby grows. Great for daily use and easy to recommend.

Solid chair for the money
Simple to remove the tray, feels sturdy in use and the legs fold for easier storage. A reliable option at a fair price.

Necessary and easy to assemble
Easy to put together and offers a good height for feeding. It holds the baby fine though it does wobble a little. Overall a useful chair.

Strong recommendation — easy and practical
Super easy to assemble, sits my baby at the right table height, and cleans up wonderfully. It’s light enough to move and seems steady — the bar that holds the tray in place actually makes it feel secure even when the tray’s off.

Hands-down the best high chair I've owned
After raising five kids and helping with grandkids, this Chicco Zest is the best yet. The lack of fabric means no stubborn stains or covers to remove — just wipe it clean. It moves between four stages easily, feels solid, folds up without fuss and doesn’t hog space. Practical, smartly designed and built for real family life. I only wish I’d had it years ago.

Good value and adaptable — bar is a bit awkward
Assembly took about 10 minutes and was straightforward. The chair feels stable and the tray is simple to remove and wash. The straps can rub without padding and I wish I could use only the waist straps. The crossbar between the legs makes placing or lifting my child a little clumsy, but overall it converts nicely into a child chair.

Quick setup and very versatile
Exactly what I wanted — simple, easy to clean and useful for more than mealtimes. My son enjoys water play at this height and it fits our table perfectly. It came together fast and breaks down for transport, which is great for taking it on outings.
