6-Pack Foam Dog Stair Steps — 20° Ramp for Small, Senior & Injured Dogs
Product description
Six-Pack of Cushioned Steps
This product comes as a set of six independent foam steps intended to create a low-rise staircase for pets. Each piece is crafted from high-density 40D foam to provide a balance of softness and structural support. A removable soft fabric sleeve covers each step and the underside features a textured non-slip layer plus adhesive strips to help keep the steps in place on wood, tile, or carpet.
Thoughtful Dimensions and Angle
Each stair measures 13.8" x 9.8" x 5.9" and the set is engineered around a mild 20° slope to ease the effort of climbing. The height and depth are chosen to work well with most standard stair risers (roughly 7" high) and to be comfortable for small breeds and animals with limited mobility.
Materials and Maintenance
The core material is 40D high-density foam, selected to reduce pressure on hips, knees and spines compared with hard-plastic or wooden steps. The fabric sleeve is soft to the touch for traction and comfort. The outer surfaces wipe clean and the lightweight foam pieces are easy to move, store, or pack for travel. The sleeves can be removed for cleaning or replaced if needed.
Placement and Use
Because the steps are separate units, you can arrange them to match your home’s layout — lining them against indoor stairs, placing them by sofas, or positioning near pet doors. The non-slip bottom layer and included adhesive tapes reduce shifting, but care should be taken with very vigorous or heavy pets. Use positive reinforcement and treats to encourage cautious or hesitant dogs to ascend and descend the gentle incline.
Ideal Users
These steps are intended for small breeds, older dogs, and pets recovering from surgery or coping with chronic conditions such as arthritis or spinal concerns. The softer foam lessens joint impact during repeated use and helps build confidence during training sessions.
Pros
- Soft yet supportive 40D foam core
- Gentle 20° incline suited for small or senior pets
- Lightweight, portable, and easy to clean
Cons
- May feel unstable for large, heavy dogs
- Covers can be snug to fit and may need adjustment
- Adhesive may need reapplication on some surfaces
VerdictThese six foam steps deliver a cushioned, lower-impact option for pets that struggle with conventional stairs. The 40D foam offers a balance of give and support while the 20° incline minimizes strain for breeds prone to back and knee issues. The non-slip undersides and adhesive tapes help stabilize the set on a variety of floors, though very large or heavy dogs may find them less steady. Lightweig

Did not solve our problem
Disappointing. They didn’t improve stair access for my pet and even with the adhesive strips the set shifted when she climbed. Overall not what I hoped.

Quick to arrive and used right away
Well packed — my small dog hopped on and began using them immediately.

Good concept, not for my dog
I like the idea and construction, but my dog still refuses to step on them.

Took a while to accept them
My dog was hesitant at first. The pieces looked larger online than in person, but eventually she began to use them.

Small dogs love them, assembly simple
Bought for our pack and the little ones take to them. Quality seems solid and setup is easy. Stability is fine for Chihuahuas but would be marginal for bigger breeds.

Easy to assemble but not a fit for us
The stairs went together quickly but my dog struggled to use them, and even a relative’s dog avoided them. I ended up returning them for a different style.

Good product but cover was tricky to fit
I’m rating this five stars for what it is, though the fabric sleeves arrived very tight and there were no directions for pulling them on. It took a couple tries to get the covers seated correctly; the sleeve won’t fully zip so I tucked the edge under. The material is soft and feels durable. My dog refuses to use them so training will continue — she just jumps off and gives me a puzzled look. I like the build quality despite the fit issue.
