4-Pack 12-Gallon Tempered Plastic Livestock Water Troughs — 39in Feed Troughs
Product description
Pack contents and size: This kit contains four identical livestock troughs. Each unit measures approximately 38.58 x 11.81 x 7.09 inches (98 x 30 x 18 cm) and can hold about 12 gallons (48 quarts) of water or feed, providing a generous volume for multiple animals.
Material and durability: The troughs are manufactured from high-strength tempered plastic intended to resist cracking and general wear. The construction is designed to stand up to sun exposure and freezing temperatures, and to tolerate some chewing from livestock. Note that the plastic is not as elastic as rubber; avoid harsh impacts or heavy bending.
Animal-safe composition: These tubs are made from non-toxic plastic so they are safe for drinking water, feeding, or bathing use. The material choices aim to eliminate health risks for livestock while remaining easy to clean.
Mounting and placement options: Each trough includes preformed holes so you can hang it or simply place it on the ground. That flexibility lets you adapt installation to different pens, stalls, or pasture set-ups depending on animal type and behavior.
Typical uses: Suitable across a range of settings — farms, smallholdings, sheepfolds and backyard paddocks. Useful for horses, calves, pigs, goats, sheep, alpacas, deer and poultry as feed, water or wash tubs. Their size and capacity make them practical for daily feeding and watering routines.

Smaller than expected
Too small for my use, otherwise seems okay.

Too flimsy for hay catcher use
Bought these to catch wasted hay under our goat feeders, but they flex and collapse when goats lie in them. Tried zip ties to brace the sides; helped a little but still not sturdy enough.

Brittle with lamb use
After a week of feeding lambs they showed no flex and felt brittle.

Not rubbery as shown
They aren’t rubbery or bendable like photos imply. The material is stiff and may become brittle over time despite initial strength.

Stood up to my pigs — very tough.

Ideal for deer feeding
Deer repeatedly damaged other feeders, but these survive better. I fill them on the ground from a bucket — ideal size for our herd.
