GameSir G7 Pro Performance Controller for Xbox, PC & Android
Product description
Tri-mode connectivity
The G7 Pro offers three connection modes: a wired mode for Xbox consoles, both wired and a 2.4GHz wireless option for PC, and Bluetooth pairing for Android devices. Switching networks is handled by an easy physical mode switch on the controller, so you can move between systems without fuss.
TMR sticks
GameSir outfitted the G7 Pro with its Mag-Res TMR sticks that combine Hall Effect durability with traditional potentiometer responsiveness. The hybrid design is intended to reduce stick drift, provide steady tracking and keep power usage low while maintaining familiar stick behavior.
Hall Effect analog triggers
Both shoulder triggers use Hall Effect sensors for smooth, linear analog input. They include clicky micro-switch trigger stops so you can switch between a more tactile, digital-style stop and full analog travel depending on the game.
1000Hz polling rate on PC
On PC, the controller supports a high 1000Hz polling rate when used wired or over the 2.4GHz dongle. That higher report rate minimizes input latency and helps keep competitive gameplay feeling snappy and precise.
GameSir Nexus app
The upgraded GameSir Nexus application provides deep customization: gyro sensitivity and mapping, stick curve adjustments, button remapping (including button-to-mouse), and profile management. The app expands tuning options beyond factory defaults.
PC gyro aiming & extra buttons
A built-in gyroscope (PC-only) can be mapped to sticks, buttons or mouse movements for more intuitive aiming. Four additional programmable inputs (L5/R5 bumpers plus lockable rear buttons) support macros and quick actions for complex control schemes.
Smart Auto Start-Stop Charging Station
Included with the controller is a smart charging station that starts and stops charging automatically when the pad is placed or lifted. The controller houses a 1200mAh rechargeable battery for extended play sessions and simple dock-based recharging.
Pros
- TMR sticks and Hall Effect parts reduce drift and improve longevity
- Multiple connection modes plus 1000Hz responsiveness on PC
- Extensive customization via Nexus app and programmable back buttons
Cons
- D-pad can feel soft or imprecise to some users
- A small number of first-run units reported hardware issues
- 1000Hz polling only available on PC; consoles are limited
VerdictThe G7 Pro blends durable Hall Effect components and GameSir’s TMR sticks into a multi-mode controller aimed at competitive players and power users. It delivers responsive inputs (1000Hz on PC via wired or 2.4GHz), an adjustable control scheme via the Nexus app, and a convenient charging dock with auto start/stop. Expect solid ergonomics, programmable back buttons and gyro aiming on PC, though som

A next-level gamepad for PC
This is the best controller I’ve used on PC so far. It feels comfortable, the tactical buttons and triggers are excellent, and build quality is high. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this product impressed me at its price point and I hope it holds up long term.

I absolutely love this controller
I can’t go back to a basic Xbox pad after using this. The single-button mic mute is convenient. My first unit had a left-stick click issue, but support was extremely responsive via their Discord; they sent a replacement within a week and the process was simple and pleasant.

Good controller with a few caveats
I had a couple of initial issues that turned out to be PC side problems, not the pad. It feels good in hand and performs well for mostly single-player titles I play.

G7 Pro vs. elite pads — a competitive choice
After beating up a couple of elite controllers I needed a rugged option with TMR sticks. The G7 Pro feels quicker and more responsive than my elite pad. Note that consoles won’t reach the advertised 1000Hz polling rate, so PC players will benefit most from that spec. The size is slightly different from some elite models, but overall it holds up well under intense play.

Great value and quality (French reviewer translated)
Deserves more than five stars. The TMR anti-drift sticks are incredible and the configuration software for PC and Xbox is clean and easy to use. Highly recommend.

Great quality and performance for the value
This is one of the best controllers I've used. I mainly game on PC and have relied on official controllers for years, but wanted a performance pad with better sticks and extra buttons. The G7 Pro delivers where it counts: sturdy sticks, responsive face buttons, solid rumble and a polished software experience. It feels high quality straight out of the box and the TMR sticks really reduce drift while keeping a familiar feel.

Hardcore controller user pleasantly surprised
I play on high-end pads and was skeptical, but the G7 Pro blew me away. I was coming from premium controllers with stick drift issues and after trying this I’m very happy. It required a short adjustment to button layout, but after an hour I loved it. If drift is your problem, this is an impressive and affordable fix.

Is it truly better than the G7 SE?
I upgraded from the G7 SE expecting small refinements, but the G7 Pro is noticeably different. Almost every button now has a clicky switch feel, including the d-pad, which makes the pad feel less natural to me. On the plus side, it’s more solid in hand with a grippy finish. I like the sturdier construction, but the uniform clicky feel takes some getting used to.

Highly recommended (German reviewer translated)
I’m usually picky about hardware and need time to adapt, but this controller convinced me instantly. The sticks are crisp and responsive, all buttons have a great tactile feel, and the paddles include useful lock switches. Shoulder buttons can be toggled between analog and digital behavior, which is perfect for shooters. The weight and rubberized grip give a premium, secure feel in hand.

Ten out of ten
Fantastic controller that feels better than many competitors. I accidentally bought a different model at first, but this one outperforms it in almost every way. If you need a wireless console-specific variant, there are other versions, but as-is this is an outstanding wired/performance pad.

Almost perfect — solid except the D-pad
Pro tip: if you plug the charging base into your PC you don’t need to insert the USB dongle separately; leave it in the base. The controller is excellent and I’ve used many, but the d-pad on this Pro feels wobbly compared with the HE model’s stiff, precise pad. I expect to adapt over time, but it’s the one drawback I noticed.

Solid update to the G7 family
After a defective unit required a return, the replacement has been flawless. Everything works as expected and the trigger stop feels robust. Custom faceplates from previous G7 models fit well except for one D-pad variant. Ergonomics are great and it shines for fighting games and platformers. Overall a top-tier controller once you get a good unit.
