Fire- and Water-Resistant Document Safe Box with Key Lock (14.3 x 15.5 x 13.5 in)
Product description
Fire and flood protection for important papers: this steel document safe is UL Classified to resist high temperatures for up to thirty minutes and ETL Verified to guard contents from water exposure during common household incidents.
Designed to hold paperwork flat, the interior accepts letter-sized hanging file folders and provides straps to secure smaller items like passports, ID cards, or flash drives. The vault-like layout helps keep documents organized and easy to reach when needed.
Security is delivered via a keyed lock mechanism; two metal keys are supplied for backup access. The lid seals with a molded rubber gasket to help keep moisture out during water events. The cover and walls feature thick, insulated construction intended to slow heat transfer and preserve a survivable interior environment for paper.
Dimensions: approximately 14.3 x 15.5 x 13.5 inches (external measurements), giving a compact footprint that fits in closets, beneath desks, or on office shelving while still holding hanging folders or stacks of documents. The exterior is finished in black for a low-profile appearance that blends into home or workplace settings.
Included in the box are the safe itself, two keys for the lock, internal straps for small items, and hanging-file rails. Typical materials consist of a heavy-gauge steel shell, fire-resistant insulating lining, and a rubber door seal. Use it as a primary document protector or as a secondary container for cash, small electronics, certificates, and other keepsakes you want isolated from fire and water hazards.

Very heavy
Quite heavy — be prepared for the weight.

Sturdy, good for documents
Well-built with a clean look and solid feel. I’d prefer the locking parts be metal rather than plastic for extreme heat, but it’s portable enough and excellent for storing paperwork—avoid using it for valuable jewelry or meds.

Solid and weighty construction
After shopping around I kept this model. It feels very heavy and robust with thick walls and rounded edges. Interior space is good and the key lock works smoothly, though the inner rubber gasket did come loose for me and I had to reattach it. Low-profile design makes it easy to tuck away and the build seems precise.

Outstanding support, decent safe
Manufacturer support handled a small problem promptly and professionally. The safe itself is functional — not fancy, but practical. It just fits standard manila folders; I wished it were a tad wider. The lid could use a damping feature and the handle flexes if forced while locked. The key can bend if misused and the gasket may need monitoring.

Doesn’t fit A4 paperwork
I should have checked dimensions — it won’t accept A4-size files. Fine for passports, cash, and small items, but not for full-size copies of documents. Otherwise it’s nicely constructed.

Trusted brand, a few design tweaks needed
I upgraded from a smaller box for more room. It gives extra depth but I’d add a better hand recess for carrying and replace the front plastic clip with a stronger closure. The snap can take a firm push to fully seat, which was worrying at first. Includes internal straps for organization.

Cheap feeling
Feels low-end in places; not the highest quality finish.

Bulky but useful
At first I thought it was too large and the lid was tricky until I learned how it closes. It’s heavy and not easy to stash, but it holds folders and I’ve come to appreciate the extra space.
