Angry Horse EasyCare Hoof Pick & Wire Brush Combo — Clear
Product description
This combo includes a molded EasyCare plastic handle fitted with a metal hoof pick and a short, stiff wire brush in one integrated tool.
The handle is shaped for a full hand grip, offering leverage for scraping out grooves and packed mud. The pick is a solid metal hook designed to reach collateral grooves and scrape caked-on material, while the wire brush provides bristles sized to dislodge finer debris.
Intended for regular hoof maintenance, it works by using the hooked metal end to pry and scrape, then sweeping remaining dirt with the brush. Its dimensions are palm-friendly for adult hands and aimed at standard to large hooves; it may be larger than ideal for very small or miniature hooves.
Pros
- Sturdy plastic grip for good leverage
- Effective metal pick for scraping
- Wire bristles remove residual debris
Cons
- Heavier and bulkier than tiny plastic picks
- Metal parts can corrode with prolonged moisture exposure
- Too large for miniature horse hooves
VerdictA heavy-duty hoof pick that combines a metal pick with a stiff wire brush and a molded plastic grip. It cleans quickly and holds up to frequent use for most horses, though the metal components may show corrosion over long exposure to moisture and it can be bulky for very small hooves.

Worth buying instead of cheap knockoffs
I've spent too much on flimsy picks. This one feels solid and the metal brush actually cleans out packed mud instead of the thin plastic bristles on cheaper models.

Corroded after a year
The metal rusted within a year of use. The maker suggested humid conditions, but it's used on hooves and exposed to moisture. Disappointed for the cost.

Heavy but comfortable
The tool is on the heavy side but fits my hand well. The bristles didn't remove mud as dramatically in very wet conditions, but overall it's comfortable and effective.

Solid, weighty and gets the job done
Very sturdy in hand with good weight. The pick reaches grooves and scrapes off hardened manure while the wire brush catches the rest. Much quicker and more effective than tiny plastic picks with flimsy brushes.

Handy for hoof care pros
As an Equine Barefoot Hoof Care Practitioner I value this tool. It’s large—maybe larger than needed—but the wire brush is indispensable. The pick is very sturdy and hasn't bent after months of use. Not ideal for tiny minis, though.

Exactly what a hoof pick should do
I wanted one tool instead of two and this delivers. It’s larger than it looks and very fast at clearing hooves. I might ease the sharp corners on the metal, but it’s excellent for big hooves and speeds up the job.

A real tool for serious cleaning
If you need a durable, no-nonsense hoof cleaner, this is it. Built to last and large enough to avoid getting lost. My farrier recommended it and it replaced my need to carry separate wire brushes.
