From Nomad to Neighbor: How Garden Coach Carilyn Mae Planted Roots

I’m pleased to welcome my new friend Cari to today’s episode. Cari is a master gardener, a new homesteader, and a garden coach who helps beginning and aspiring gardeners find their footing. She describes her childhood as nomadic—moving across the U.S. with her father’s job—but found a sense of stability visiting her grandparents’ farm each year. Cari eventually settled in the Pacific Northwest with her husband. When infertility and miscarriage brought deep pain, her first instinct was to flee. Instead she chose to stay, put down roots, and find purpose through working the land. I’m grateful Cari joined the show to share her stories, her perfect scone and summer jam recipes, and her perspective. Thank you for listening.
