When life hands you peaches, some bake pies — I make Grand Marnier Peach Popsicles. Come on over and take a peek.
To be honest, I usually reach for nectarines when given the choice — that fuzzy peach skin can be a little off-putting. Once I get past it, though, the juicy, golden flesh makes it worth the fuss.
I posted on Instagram about a great find: a basket of ripe Ontario peaches. Before I made it home, I’d already given a few away to colleagues and a friend I bumped into — perhaps a happy coincidence.
I’m not much of a pie person, and cooked fruit isn’t my favorite, so the peaches left at home headed straight for the blender. Add a touch of citrus and a splash of booze, and you’ve got what I like to call fuzzy navel popsicles on a stick.
Without Peach Schnapps on hand, I reached for the Grand Marnier leftover from an Orange Chocolate Mousse cake. A little honey, a hint of orange zest, blend — and POPS!
These Grand Marnier Peach Popsicles are simple, refreshing, and irresistibly delicious. For kids or anyone avoiding alcohol, substitute the Grand Marnier with orange juice — just as tasty.
Summer’s slipping by fast, so grab those peaches and make a batch. It’s easy and satisfying.
