When we lived in Las Vegas, we often gathered for dinner with my in-laws. We stayed with them for a while when we first arrived, and beyond that it was simply a favorite way to spend time together. One of the highlights was my father-in-law’s grilled pork chops. He taught Justin how to grill so that the meat comes off tender, juicy and perfectly cooked every time.

J’s mother seasons meat in a straightforward, reliable way that we love: a little salt and pepper, garlic powder, and Herbes de Provence. The combination is simple but very tasty, and it’s an easy method to repeat on busy weeknights.

  • Cooking spray
  • 4 pork chops Boneless or bone-in, about 1″+ thick
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Herbes de Provence

Instructions

  • Remove pork chops from the refrigerator 15–20 minutes before grilling to take the chill off.

  • Season both sides of the pork chops with kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder and Herbes de Provence.
  • Place the chops on the preheated grill.
